The Story:

We've included a short FAQ to help you understand exactly what is going on here:

Who runs daveandmeg.com?
Hmm. We thought the name gave it away. In case you are still wondering: daveandmeg.com is run by Dave and Meg.

Why is it "dave and meg" instead of "meg and dave" or "megan and dave"? Is that some sort of patriarchal statement?
Great question...you are very inquisitive. It has nothing to do with gender issues. If you string "meg" plus "and" plus "dave" together it looks like "meganddave"; that is confusing because "meg" turns into "megan" and there is an extra "d". "megananddave" is even worse -- it looks like the record is skipping. So, after giving it some serious thought, Megan bought the domain name "daveandmeg.com" so it would be easy to remember and spell correctly.

What is Turtlecircus?
Daveandmeg.com is actually hosted by Turtlecircus. Think of turtlecircus as the holding company for little projects like this one.

But why have two domains for the same site?
We wanted a website for our family and friends to be able to see what was going on (especially those folks far away), but we didn't want daveandmeg.com to attract spam and we didn't want to see goofy pictures of Dave in a clown suit on Google every time you searched for "goofy pictures of Dave in a clown suit." So turtlecircus is the "public face" and the place we send/receive email; daveandmeg.com is a little more covert. It's the place to see pictures of recent events and read about what's new in the lives of Dave and Meg.

So daveandmeg.com is like a secret club?
Absolutely. Consider yourself a very lucky member of an elite bunch.

Isn't it a little pompous to have a website dedicated to yourselves and your "adventures"?
We wrestle with this one all the time. It's hard to spend your time uploading pictures and writing these self-indulgent stories knowing there is such injustice in the world. But, every time we decide to stop and dedicate ourselves to a greater cause, the people go nuts and the fan mail pours in from across the globe demanding we continue our website. We have no choice, really.
